New Data Centre (32MV) Construction in South Belgium (TIC: €450Mio)
Source a local architect to work in collaboration with the main A&E company based in Dublin and establish a partnership between the two companies
Support to permitting process including meeting local authorities and public utilities providers and organising a public project presentation to the neighbours
Procurement: support to the contract managers’ team based in Dublin, market research on potential local subcontractors, contacts with the sales forces of these companies, support to the prequalification process
Industrial Relations: declaration of works, workers checking management, audit of international workers and sub-contracting chain as well as relations with local authorities. A total of 235 companies were engaged on this project. At peak the total amount of workers on site was just under 1,200! A major social inspection happened on site. It was composed of 20+ Belgian state representatives (Federal Public Service Employment, Labour and Social Dialogue, Social Security Affairs, etc.) and translators. The delegation recognized the excellent administration work of the team involved (secretaries, consulting experts, security services). No notice or penalty resulted of the inspection.
Commercial support: site visits and support to proposals preparation for additional projects. For example: architectural and engineering concept and detailed design (up to “Issue for Tender”) of a new Electrical Sub-station including SCADA.
